To increase the power of a car, the intake volume must be increased, and how fast it increases is related to the throttle response. To perfectly control the car with the throttle, a sensitive throttle response is required. No matter how deep the throttle is pressed, the excitation process of the rpm and intake will appear immediately. High intake means high rpm, and higher rpm means higher intake volume, until the power meets the driver's requirements.
